Special Notes to Colloquia Speakers
Presentation lecture hall, Neckers 440:
The colloquia are held in a 200 seat lecture hall. Presentations are projected from the rear of the lecture hall and appear apx. 15' wide at the front of the lecture hall. The lights in the lecture hall are fully adjustable. The schedule of the lecture hall is relatively busy. If you need time to go through your presentation in the lecture hall prior to your talk, please let us know well in advance.
The most reliable way to insure your presentation will work correctly with our equipments is to:
1. Email your presentation to rbaer@physics.siu.edu. Your presentation can be placed on the presentation PC ahead of time and tested. Bring a backup copy of your presentation with you on a CDR, zip disk, or flash drive in windows format. If you did not embed images or movies on your presentation, make sure they are on attached or on your presentation media.
2. Bring your own laptop and plug it into our multimedia projector. Standard VGA and mini 1/8" stereo plugs are provided for video and sound connection.
Be prepared with a backup set of transparencies or to use a chalk board in the event of an equipment failure.
